  • Overview

    The Financial Analyst will assist the Finance Manager with all aspects of reporting and analysis, including volume and sales reporting, performance scorecards for both regions and brands, and brand owner reporting and analysis. This role will also assist with review, analysis and reporting of price support and other sales-controlled spending.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare daily volume and sales reports and communicate performance to company sales leaders.
    • Monthly analysis and communication of revenue variance by brand and by region.
    • Prepare monthly performance scorecards, analyze brand and region performance and provide commentary to assist readers in identifying risks and opportunities based on performance.
    • Prepare monthly brand owner scorecards and assist in preparing for business reviews.
    • Prepare regional P&Ls and communicate performance versus budgeted expectations with regional leaders.
    • Assist in price support management, including invoice review and coding.
    • Provide monthly Nielsen reporting scorecard for Infinium brands and categories.
    • Provide monthly P&L expense variance analysis.
    • Work with accounting to monitor and track sales controllable spend and advertising and promotion.
    • Construct custom/ad-hoc reports as identified by management.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited four year college or university is required.
    • A Masters in Business Administration degree is a plus but not required.
    • 1 to 3 years of related work experience in a commercial finance role is required.

    • Must be able to demonstrate good business sense, including the ability to correctly interpret financial information.
    • Ability to utilize appropriate financial data to support informed decisions, track and monitor financial results, and adherence to budgets.
    • Must have an understanding of financial controls and measures. Ability to develop an effective partnership with all assigned accounts
    • Must have the ability, readiness, and willingness, to commit to timely, rational decisions using logical assumptions and factual information and not premature in deciding upon a course of action or solution while clear in deciding and communicating choice. 
    • Ability to accurately assess risks associated with various courses of action.
    • Ability to think conceptually, flexibly and strategically.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Access and Excel.
